Forgot to mention – it doesn’t show any of the usual fields in that dropdown box. Why is this?
you should give more input to your question, like, do you have created a page.php?
what version of wp are you running?
if you use wp 2.0* there is a cross, a drop down feature that comes along with this version, there you can edit a little bit more, but it also depends on what you need.but i think this is only when you have a page.php in your root
you can certainly use the page.php for testing which is given by the default theme….but configurate the <div tags so taht the headlines and posts are shown correctly
if this doesnt work either, another user certainly can help you
Yuh, many thanks for the info.
OK – a bit more detail. I have WP2.0. I have all the usual theme files but have created a template for some pages on my site. Let’s assume it’s called template.php. Now, acoording to the codex I should be able to tell a page to use this but when I click the dropdown in the custom fields box there isn’t the usual page_template option.
I get how to use templates but my question is why is this option in the dropdown not there?
