Custom Field Date – Display only upcoming

    Hello,
    I have a custom field date (using Advanced Custom Fields) in my posts.

    Is it possible to display ‘after today’ or dates only in the future based on this custom field date and not the post published date?

    This is for upcoming events. I’m trying to keep this simple and avoid installing a calendar plugin, like events calendar which would be overkill for this project.
