[Resolved] Custom Field and Shadowbox JS

Hi and thank you for this really useful plugin.
I have just a question; I had some problems with the NextGen Gallery Lightbox Effect, so I installed Shadowbox JS, but I cannot find where to put this shortcode <?php echo $image->ngg_custom_fields[“Your Field Name Here”]; ?> to display it in the picture when it is opened.

I know how to display it in the gallery under the thumbs but not when the picture is opened.

    Any hints please?

    Best Regards

    Hi _OMEGA_

I haven’t used Shadowbox before, but experience tells me it will generate its own markup with javascript. That means there isn’t really anywhere you can output that piece of code, and have it display in the popup.

It might be possible by outputting the custom fields values to hidden elements, and then injecting the values into the javascript-generated markup once a user clicks an image, but that’s not a couple lines of code you can just copy and paste into a project. It would require some real javascript know-how, and that Shadowbox has event actions you can hook into.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful on this one 🙁

Hello shauno and thank you for the answer.
I did some tests yesterday without any luck, but your answer was really helpful. One of the answer I wanna hear. Thank you very much.
