Support » Plugin: Product Feed PRO for WooCommerce » Custom feed not working?

    Hi
I am trying to generate a custom feed that I will use to create an excel from. When I do the field mapping the fields in feed are not updated.
e.g. I removed a field from the mapping 3 days ago but it still shows up in the feed XML. Same case with adding, the new fields do not show up. I have done “Manually refresh productfeed” multiple times but no use.
I use WP-Rocket and Cloudflare and have set them to bypass cache for feed files. Also I cleared full cache multiple times but the feed does not seem to update.
I also noticed that added certain fields causes the XML feed to crash. But cannot replicate the issue as the feed is not getting updated currently.

    Hi nrichsystems,

That does indeed sound like a caching issue (like you tested) or a WP-cron issue where the feed is not updated because the WP-cron is either disabled or not running properly.

Did you try checking the (changed) feeds in an incognito browser window (to rule out browser-caching)?

Also, please check if the WP-cron has been disabled in your wp-config file:

    Hi Eva

Yes the WP cron is disabled and server cron is setup. But rest all feeds are generated properly. Also I do not need this custom feed to get updated daily. I will refresh it manually whenever I need to do the export. So I will be mostly hitting the manual refresh weekly or monthly. It should generate the feed on manual refresh irrespective of the WP cron running or not? I am currently using another plugin to generate this particular feed and want to switch to your plugin as I am using your plugin for rest of the feeds.
I have tried incognito as well as adding random parameters to the url but it’s the same.

    Hi,

“It should generate the feed on manual refresh irrespective of the WP cron running or not?”

The plugin processed the product feed(s) in batches and relies on the WP-cron for that, also when you kick off the process manually. Then again, you mentioned that some of the other feeds you created processed just fine? If that’s true than your WP cron most likely is functioning just fine.

Would you be so kind as to provide us with the plugin’s debug.log? It will help us understand how you have configured your product feed. Please tell us what feed it is you are experiencing the issues with.

Instructions on how to retrieve the debug.log can be found here:

    Hi Eva

I have enabled WP cron but still no effect. Also I am not able to see the link you send for debug report as that site is down since around an hour now: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
Can you please send me the steps here.

An “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT” is not related to our plugin. Seems like a server configuration issue on your side. Please make sure your website is up.

I was talking about your website. It is down. https://pasteboard.co/InOjhbL.png
