# Custom excerpt block

 * Hi,
 * I am trying to figure out how to get my first 25 words to show up on my home 
   page slider? For example, whenever I create a new post it shows up on the home
   page in the slider with just the title. Where some articles show the title and
   then a 25 word excerpt.

 * Excerpts will be displayed within the slider out of the box (see [theme demo](http://www.mhthemes.com/lite/?theme=magazine_lite))
   and it appears this also is the case on your website.

 * What do you mean with _Where do I find this box_? As mentioned before, excerpts
   will be displayed in the _“MH Slider [lite]”_ widget **out of the box** and this
   also is the case on your website.
 * That means unfortunately it’s not really clear what exactly your question is.
   However, if you mean that you want to enter a custom excerpt for your posts,
