Is it possible you can add an option for site admins to create a custom error page when we block a user?

When I block somebody, I prefer to use a 404 Not Found message or even a redirect to a different URL instead of the generic Forbidden message, so the user doesn’t even realize he was blocked. I’m currently using htaccess instead of your plugin to deny access from IP addresses, but it would be much easier to block using your plugin if you would just give me a way to customize the forbidden page.

If this is somehow currently possible, please advise, otherwise, thanks for any consideration you can give towards a feature like this.

  • Hi

Great suggestion! This is actually something that we have in the pipeline to investigate for a future release. I’ll make sure the developers know people are asking for it again and see if it can’t be pushed up in priority. I, of course, can’t guarantee it being included or say when but we do take every suggestion from our users seriously.

Thanks for helping make Wordfence great!

He is not the only one, lots of users request this feature, for it’s more polite to direct blocked users to a page which states that they’ve been blocked (preferably with a reason and/or time).

NightwatchNL: Thanks for the input — I will pass it on to the dev team. This is still a possibility in a future release, from the suggestion that Tim had mentioned above, but it is not yet available in the current version. Thanks again!
