 * Hi everyone,
 * I have a site installed [http://www.anishaart.com](http://www.anishaart.com)

   however I don’t have the option of customising the colour as it is self-hosted.
   Is there a way I can add a custom design module so that I can change the green
   in the theme to the blue?
 * Kind Regards
 * Reece

 * You will need to modify the css in the theme. This is most probably in the style.
   css file in the theme. Which green are you referring to because I cannot see
   any?

 * @thehandpfgod: you don’t want to suggest editing the parent theme without making
   a child theme, or @reesesamani will lose changes when the theme is updated.
 * @reesesamani: try using [https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/)
   to modify CSS; the changes won’t be erased with a theme update and you don’t
   need to edit theme files. And use the developer tools in [Firefox](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools)(
   or [Firebug](http://getfirebug.com/)) or [Chrome](https://developers.chrome.com/devtools/)
   or [Safari](https://developer.apple.com/safari/tools/) or [IE](http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/hh673541(v=vs.85).aspx)
   to find the colors and work with the CSS..

 * Good point about not editing the actual style.css. I will make sure my answers
   are a bit more explicit going forward 🙂

 * Thank you, I used a CSS override and changed the CSS without editing the parent
   file.
