 * Are there any plans for custom CSS per block? [There is discussion](https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/30142#issuecomment-1304385067),
   but nothing comes of it.

   for community folks to provide support for WordPress, Plugins, and Themes for
   free, any changes that are to be made to the plugin can be discussed on GitHub.
   
   It would be best to try and ask about progress on the thread you provided, this
   is the best way to reach out to the developers
