Custom category titles – Hack All in one SEO

  • Hi Everyone,

I’m struggling with 2 plugins I’m using for SEO purposes:
    – All in one SEO Pack,
    – All category SEO updater.

I use them under a child theme based on twenty ten.

The All category SEO updater is supposed to overide All in one SEO Pack with specific meta values for each category.
It works fine for meta keyword and meta description. The problem is with meta titles. Althought it has been defined in All Category SEO updater plugin, the custom meta title are not displayed in source code.

Any one has the same kind of issue?

  • Could be your theme getting in the way. Dunno if you have the title in the header cleaned up at all? twentyten uses a modified function in functions.php to alter the title…. which can affect the SEO plugins…

    in header.php using

    <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>

instead of the block of code twentyten uses allows the plugins to do their thing unfettered

    Hey Voodoo!

    Thanks for your reply!
Do you know which part of the twenty ten code should I update to get these plugins running?

    Cheers,
