[Resolved] Custom byline text

  • Hello.

Firstly, fantastic plugin. It’s in a league of it’s own in terms of tile type plugins.

I would like to know how to create a custom byline.

I am currently using %title% and %content%. Is there anyway that i can customize what content appears on the byline? Even as simple as a sentence, somehow in the shortcode?

Would love to know your thoughts.

    Thank you.

    Hi George,

    Thanks for your comment!

You can set the byline template using the parameters byline_template and byline_template_textonly (for tiles with and without images respectively) in the shortcode. For an overview of all placeholders you can use, see the page about byline templates on the website.

To give an example, you could do something like:

    [wp-tiles byline_template="%content%<br />Click <a href='%link%'>here</a> to see more about %title%!"]

    Cheers,
    Mike
