Support » Plugin: EasyRotator for WordPress - Slider Plugin » Custom arrows and text not centered

  • Resolved Tasha

    First of all, thank you for a really great slider. Best I’ve ever worked with.
    I have two questions please:
    1) I made a few changes to the layout using the “Manually Edit Layout Source” button and it worked perfectly fine. The only thing that is not working is centering the text. It shows centered if you preview the slider but in the website it is still left alligned. I tried it in various browsers but it gives the same result.

    2) I would like to use custome arrows as per this document:
    but I don’t know where to save the images? Where does the images folder go please?
    data-erConfig=”{image:’images/button-left-up.png’, image2:’images/button-left-hover.png’}”

    Many Thanks in advance

    Hi Tasha,

    Thanks for using EasyRotator. On issue 1, there’s most likely a CSS declaration in your page overriding your setting. If you manually added text-align:center then try updating it to text-align:center !important . If this doesn’t solve the problem, please share the URL of your page.

    On issue 2, you’ll need to first upload the arrow images to your WordPress site, either via the Media Uploader (easiest) or FTP. Get the full http:// URLs to the images, then use those values to update the rotator code.

    Please let me know if you have any further trouble.

    P.S. Thanks for the kind words about the plugin! If you haven’t already, we always appreciate reviews here:

    Hi Drew, thanks for that. It worked perfectly. Can’t believe I didn’t think of !important!!!

    I’ll leave this piece of code for the rotator for other people that might have the same question regarding changing the arrows:

    data-erConfig=”{image:’circleSmall’, image2:’circleSmall’}

    data-erConfig=”{image:’your full http:// URL’}

    I will gladly leave a review.

    Have a great day

    Hi Tasha,

    I’m glad things are working properly now! By the way, thanks for raising the path issue. The layout customization document was updated yesterday to make mention of the need to upload the files to the media library. Hopefully that will help other folks who run into the same issue.
