  • Blogamp works, otherwise do a search for custom fields.

What features are you looking for? I’m working on general support for “what’s playing” on your pc/mac, using iTunes (and third-party itunes-blog-post tools), but should be able to have it work for other players as well.
The main feature of ‘CG-WhatTunes’ is the ability to grab song data (from a text file at the moment), and display it on your blog (sidebar). Additionally, it has integration with CG-Amazon to do a query of Amazon to try and display an Amazon link to the album/artist in question.

thanks i tried blogamp and it works very well.

Well, I can’t get blogamp to work :(… But then, I’m getting used to having to relearn everything 😉

@anon – drop me an email and I’ll help out.
Contact form on my site 🙂

Check out Currently Hearing by Garrett Murray ( It works with FTP and you can use the example script and add it to the my-hacks.php file. If you need some help feel free to contact me by mail.

My recent CG-PowerPack release includes my new CG-WhatTunes script. It uses HTTP POST methodology to receive song info from whatever ‘helper app’ you have on your desktop (so long as it uses HTTP POSTs and not FTPs), and gets the data up into your site. Then it works with CG-Amazon to display the most likely match for an album at Amazon.

i wrote one for winamp 5 and the dosomething plugin. check it out in action at

How do I get this plugin to work with Winamp? I have everything installed I just can’t figure out how to have Winamp write to the tracktunes.txt. Can someone help?
