Using Events Calendar in an Ancora Theme. Using the Tribe Events templates without customization.

When displaying the Upcoming Events calendar in List View (http://<site url>/events/, List view selected) before the first “real” event and after the “March 2018” header, it displays the current date and time followed by the “Find Out More” button. Then it displays the list properly.

When clicking to the single event view (http://<site url>/event/keystone-trail-north-end/) the first thing displayed is a blue bar saying “This event has passed”, followed by a line displaying the current date and time (e.g. MARCH 2 @ 12:16 PM CST), then a repeat of the blue bar with the same message. THEN it displays the selected event as expected.

The site isn’t live yet so I can’t provide a link to it. How can I suppress that current date and time pseudo-event from displaying?

    Hey @mjmalley,

First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual.

Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.

    Thank you for reaching out.

Yikes! This is an odd one.
Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists (this will confirm if the theme is the issue).

Secondly, please try other settings under Events -> Settings -> Display for the “Events Template” setting, it might help.

If it does not, you have a couple of options:

    1. Hide the offending time using CSS
    2. Use a shortcode instead of using the default calendar URL (this will require a copy of the Events Calendar Pro)
    3. Reach out to the theme authors to see if they have any suggestion

Let us know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
