Hi, I have a major problem which feels like it should not really exist. This is the scenario:
    1) I have a site In English. I want to promote this site is USA, UK and Australia.
    2) Google requires that I use the local currencies USD, GBP and AUD.
    3) My site has a currency switcher so i am able to display products in each of these currencies but:

How do I complete the simple task of submitting to Google in such a way that the links provided bring people from each respective country to a site in the correct currency?

The simplest solution would have been an option to select default currency when selecting Country of sale in feed options then perhaps a way to insert currency info into the links that are then created. Am I overthinking this? Do you have a better solution. it really seems like a simple problem which shouldn’t exist

    Hi cath88,

Depends, are you using a plugin for the currency switcher? If so, which one is it?
It obviously is not that simple to “just” support any plugin that is out there.

    Best,
    Eva

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I am happy to do whatever needs to be done to make this work. Is there a currency switcher which you have in mind? I’m happy to use whichever one it is. This problem is really crippling my efforts to expand.

    Hi cath88,

Which one are you currently using?

    Best,
    Eva

I’m currently using the currency features in WooCommerce Multilingual along with WPML

However this seems a very long winded way to go about just having currencies. I’ve had to install a different version of the English language for every different currency that I need so that I can associate a default currency to the language then pick the language in your feed module. Extremely roundabout way which involves having to perform duplicate “translations” and all sorts just to simply have links which support currencies. The complex setup is now causing my site all types of errors and problems

I would really like a response to the question I’m now asking again: Which currency switcher(s) does your plugin support?

It does not support any yet.

Ok. And is there any workaround or solution to this issue at all? Any plans to support currencies any time soon?

    Hi cath88,

We can’t think of a workaround for this issue currently. We will try to add support for WooCommerce Multilingual (from WPML) in the near future which has a multi-currency feature in it. That being said, it would be a rather big thing to add so don’t expect it anytime soon.

    All the best,
    Eva
