    Hey everybody,

after a fully backup my site get errors with sending emails and shows the error

cURL error 6: getaddrinfo() thread failed to start.

This happens even if i use dropbox or FTP. My question what is the cause and how can i fix that?

Hope for a solution or advice.

    Hi Kai,

It is possible that the connection is being blocked by a firewall or similar. Could you ask your hosts/server admin if this is the case?

    Best Wishes,

    Hi Bryle,

i had the same thoughts, but the host says that they didn’t anything and couldn´t explain this bevavior too. So this is why i keep asking here.

Anything went wrong, but what is the question.

This happen after starting a backup to a cloud service and after finishing a backup on FTP. Thats why i thought so much it has to be the firewall. But the host said that their server doesn´t blocked anything…

Could it be the workaround with Wordfence?

    Thanks for your help,
    Kai

    Hi Kai,

    Apologies for the late reply.

If you temporarily deactivate WordFence do you still get the same issue though?
If not, could you contact Wordfence and see if they are able to help on what should be the correct settings for their plugin?

    Regards,
    Bryle

    Hey Bryle,

even with diasabled Wordfence it was the same. Did the Plugin build many connections, because my host told me, that if some connections are made by one IP they block that. How is this with that plugin. I would look in the server files, but it is shared hosting.

    Regards,
    Kai

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

Please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log?

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi,

it is okay. i would, but my customer broke up with that plugin and use a different one by his own decission. I tryin to get the log file, but can’t promise.

Nevermind, you guys do a great job and i wish you all the best.
