Cumulative Layout Shift on new Google Web Vitals – Gallery needs defined height

    Hi

    I noticed with the new Google Web Vitals that Cumulative Layout Shift is now a ranking factor (as well as important for user experience).

    This gallery currently causes a large CLS score, shunting all website content below down below the height of the gallery when it finally loads.

    Would it be possible to prevent this rather jarring shifting of page content by reserving the page space prior to gallery load?

    Hi,

    I have the same issues with the “Photo Gallery Plugin” galleries.

    Is there any way to prevent this?
