    Hi,

There are 28 EU countries that have EU VAT. To enter their details in the WooCommerce table, there’s a button already present at the bottom of all WooCommerce tax tables – this is in the free and the paid versions.

Wow fast response! If the shop is in the UK and sells to say China or Mexico…does the woo need a tax value for every country in the world? Or does it just need the 28 EU ones and the rest of the world pays the UK tax?

    Hi,

I’m a software developer, not an accountant. So, I can’t give you any direct advice about your tax liabilities, which depend upon exactly what you’re selling and how you’re selling it. See: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vat-supplying-digital-services-to-private-consumers/vat-businesses-supplying-digital-services-to-private-consumers

If you determine that you are selling goods that count as digital goods under the 2015 EU VAT regulations, then these require that you charge the appropriate VAT rate to buyers in each EU country individually. This plugin assists with setting up those 28 VAT rates, and showing the correct rate to users from different countries, and recording audit + summary information for your periodic accounting.

    One more issue.

Even though I have default customer address set as shop base address (which is the UK) in bother the woocmmerce settings and the EU VAT Compliance settings (Other WooCommerce tax options potentially relevant for EU VAT compliance). It is still showing the prices excluding VAT. Display prices in shop is also set to inclusive.

This has only changed since installing the addon, previously it always displayed prices including VAT.

Much appreciated if you can help with this.

If you’re selling EU digital goods, then you should set that setting to “Geolocate”.

Also, make sure you’re not running cacheing plugins that cache your shop pages, since your prices now depend upon the visitor’s location.

P.S. Also check the “Readiness report” in the EU VAT settings page.
