• My fourth install of WordPress and I am at my limit of sanity. I shall start with the beginning and hopefully not omit any detail of importance.

I am hosted with GoDaddy and my main domain is readysetfork.com. I am starting a blog at readysetfork.com/dog which is where spotteddogblog.com is pointed. My wordpress files all live in that directory. My URLs for posts look something like this: http://spotteddogblog.com/?p=1 which I thought was kind of weird, but I have no clue anymore. I am used to seeing view.php?p=… I am worried that this might be part of my issue?

I can post fine on my blog, as is apparent by my test. I CANNOT upload themes via the CP, and had to use Filezilla. When I go to “connect information” and I input my FTP information I get a blank screen and nothing is uploaded. I input my IP address, my user and password, which I know to be correct. If I put in bad data it comes up with an error. I wonder that because my main ftp user goes to the root directory, i.e. readysetfork.com WP is getting confused and cannot find its directory within the /dog? I tried using a specific WP FTP user which points to the WP theme directory, but no luck.

I cannot change anything to my CSS via the CP Editor. Any changes I make, once I press Update they disappear and the file does not update. This does not appear to be a cache problem–though I did empty my browser cache. I can change and upload the style.css via Aptana, but this is a pain and really… shouldn’t the editor work?

I’d appreciate any insight. Thank you very much for you time.

P.S. I advise not looking at my site(s), as I’ve stored them all locally until things are fixed.
