    Hi tobias,

I have a minor problem with links in my tables:
I’ve copied a large number of tables with links who are opened in the same tab, i want to change it to open in a different tab but its a lot of work to do it one by one (over 100 links), any idea how to do it at once? maybe use css ?

    thanks a lot!

p.s: just rated the plugin 🙂

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Doing this with CSS is not possible, as this requires an extra parameter in the link’s HTML code. You could maybe try the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/ for this, with its special automatic_url_conversion_new_window=true Shortcode parameter.

Note that forcing links to open in a new window/tab is considered bad for the user experience and the site’s accessibility. Therefore, doing this is discouraged in modern webdesign.

    Regards,
    Tobias
