Support » Theme: Wellington » CSS to center the Wellington footer?

Greetings. I am unsuccessfully experimenting with the style.css file for the Wellington theme. (I will indeed us a child theme eventually, but for now I just need to figure out the mechanics.)

I can’t figure out how to center the footer text with respect to the overall page. The standard text-align attribute doesn’t seem to do anything. I’ve also tried some (fairly random) changes to the “float” attribute for .site-footer, to no avail.

Any suggestions or guidance for me? Thanks!

    Pat

    Hi Pat,

    Thanks for using Wellington.

Please be aware that there are multiple media queries which style the footer for different screen widths. You might have to change the footer styling also for some media queries as well.

    Best,
    Thomas
