 * thanks for your work on this plugin – it really enhances my site. When I run 
   it through PageSpeed, it scores me down on the use of sprites (telling me the
   icons I have used in the plugin should be a sprite) – is it possible to use sprite
   coordinates and CSS rather than a link to the icon in the upload folder?

 * Unfortunately, this plugin is very, very far from being able to use sprites by
   default – the images aren’t even in CSS (they’re img tags). An icon font is a
   better/more likely option at this point.
 * You could certainly build a solution that uses a sprite or something else, and
   use this plugin as a starting point, but it’d probably be faster to roll your
   own solution.
