    Hi there,

As you’ve updated the plugin with css minify options we’ve seen serious layout issues pop up on our site which uses the Salient theme. Icons completely missing, downward arrow is missing on the main menu navigation to signify sub nav options, alignment of images next to text becomes slightly out so images which were in line with text are now slightly higher than they should be.

When disabling Fastest Cache these issues are fixed. Sadly I can’t leave this live on the site to show you, as it’s a public site representing our business.

Fastest Cache has been a great lightweight and speed-improving plugin for us, and I’ve been looking forward to minify and combine for css and javascript. But sadly without any ability to customise what files to ignore we can’t really use the plugin.

    Cheers,

Hey there ctyldsley i had the same problem as you and what i done to make it work, i download a plugin called “MnCombine” and used it along side Fastest Cache, with the MnCombine plugin you can choose which files to combine with CSS and Javascript but in the Fastest Cache plugin don’t tick the opitions Minify Css and Combine Css but tick all the rest in there instead of those two and after clear all cache and in the “MnCombine” go in the CSS tab and choose which files to combine also the Javascript tab, hope this help you because it sure help me.

Hi all, is the problem about “Minify css” or “Combine css”? By the way, can you send me your theme? I can test it with your theme. fastestcache@gmail.com

steven, did you try only “minify css”? and did you get any problem?

    Hi Emre,

My theme is also paid – http://themeforest.net/item/salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4363266

It’s minify css which I have the problem with, I believe combine css was only just rolled out very recently – when I have this enabled it doesn’t seem to create any new issues, only the existing ones from minifying.

Thanks for the suggestion Steven, I’m currently using autoptimize and super cache on there which is working well. But I am fan of Fastest Cache and hope to return to it 🙂

Thanks Emre, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I’ve just tested this now and can confirm it does appear to have fixed the issues I was seeing!

Keep up the great work. Do you plan to add javascript minify and combine in the future?

I will start to work on it today 🙂 I was waiting for your confirmations.
