# CSS problems with Internet Explorer

 * I have recently installed the ‘Dark Fire’ theme ([http://thebombsite.com/layouts3.php](http://thebombsite.com/layouts3.php))
   on my WP blog. It looks great using Firefox, but in IE the menu is placed on 
   top of the text itself. Have a look: [http://blog.troelsmyrup.dk.](http://blog.troelsmyrup.dk.)
   
   Can anyone explain to me what is wrong? And how it can be fixed? Thanks in advance.

 * It seems to be fixed now. I think there’s a series of problems with the Dark 
   Fire template. For one thing, it is missing character encoding.

 * Assuming you are using the original index file included in the download you will
   find that character encoding is actually a php call to the setting in your blog
   admin. It might not be apparent as there is no encoding mentioned in the call.
