Support » Plugin: Simple Basic Contact Form » CSS problem with theme

  • Resolved grantdb

For some reason after I messed around with my site over the last few months the contact form started messing with the CSS layout on the contact form page and I can’t figure out what is going on.

I was hoping that you could take a look quick and give me some direction. I use several of your awesome plugins and would really not like to have to use another contact form without at least trying to get some input.

Both of your contact form plugins do the same thing and I have tried a few different things to make it look right but have come to a standstill.

Any help would be most appreciated,

    thank you!

  • Hi grantdb, it looks like a plugin or theme is applying its own styles to the form. A quick way to check is to cut the plugin’s CSS code from the setting, “Custom CSS” (for Simple Basic Contact Form). Then paste it somewhere in a text file for later use. Then save changes and retry the form. Whatever styles you see after removing the plugin’s styles, are applied by other plugins or the theme.

Thank you for suggesting this as I found the problem. I noticed some divs were missing and realized that the contact form short code was on the wrong page template!

    Great plugin! Cheers!

Glad you got it! Feel free to leave a 5-star rating if you haven’t already — it helps to keep the plugin going. Thanks!

    Thank you! 🙂

    You deserve it! Cheers!
