CSS problem when not on localhost

Hello,

This weekend I’ve installed WAMP and setup a WordPress website on my Windows 7 PC. Everything went well in localhost.
This morning I tried to access my website from the internet (from work :P), I could access it BUT the CSS seems not to be loading (no image, etc.).
I’m new to web development, and I don’t really have a clue on whether it is a permission issue (some configuration file I may have forgot to modify?) or some path related issue.

It doesn’t sound to me like CSS problem, rather image path still retains previous server ( in this case the localhost in WAMP). To confirm this, view source to see the image path, if this is it then perform the search and replace using one of those scripts (Serialized).

It’s not only an image, it’s the whole pages that aren’t right. I’m new, but I know what CSS is and does, and it’s definitely a CSS problem.
CSS work on local host, not online

That could be that you have not got the right urls in Settings>>>General for online install

Hi govpatel, how should I set those URLs ?
I have a domaine name, which is http://dojozenquebec.dyndns-ip.com
Since wordpress is in my Apache www folder, I assume this is the URL I have to put there (in both WordPress and Site URLs) ?
It work well when I do so, CSS is doing its job.
However, I can’t see my images 🙂
What’s the trick ?

You will need to change urls in database as well as you installed on locally and transferred to online you still have local host url in database header image has this
http://localhost/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/cropped-wp_dhyana.png

OK do you know which table I have to edit ? I had a quick look yesterday, but couldn’t find the images

You will need to change all reference to your localhost url in database using search and replace plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/

That’s weird, the only reference I found of this image is in the wp_posts table, I changed the value to http://dojozenquebec.dyndns-ip.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/cropped-wp_dhyana.png but it still does not work.

Thanks for the plugin, I can’t test it now though, I guess I need to have direct access to my server to do so.

Actually, this is the theme link that is still in localhost. Guess I have no choice but use your plugin, since I can’t find it myself in the database.

This your header image you can always upload the image in Appearance>>>Header
