    Hello,

I’ve tried to install WordPress on Windows Server IIS 8.

When I tried to run the installation first time, it gives me this error:

    Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /wp-admin/setup-config.php.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

However after refreshing the page again, I was able to access the installation page but it does looks weird. CSS is being pointed to the server’s internal IP.

Can someone assist me? What’s going on here?

  • Select the language you want and press enter.

I’ve installed it on another separate folder but now the live site is pointing to 10.40.1.177/<wp folder name>.

I’ve adjusted and make sure the WP URL and the Site URL is pointing to a public domain but still getting that issue (Site loading 10.40.1.177 instead of public domain). Any issue/suggestion?
