    Hi Luke,

    Sorry you’re having trouble. Please paste your custom styles here, clarify how you are implementing them and we’ll go from there. Thanks!

    Hi,

    That is the thing. I am not using any custom styles. I actually want to use the styles that you provide.

    Let me know if I can help in any other way.

    Cheers,

    Luke

    Hi Luke,

    Well, you mentioned that you can’t get your styles to come through. So I wanted to see what you’re working with that is not sticking first. Out of the box, Give’s styles are minimalist in order to inherit the styles of your theme. Basically, I need to know what you are trying to customize exactly in order to give you specific guidance. Let me know, thanks!

    Hi,

    Ah I see. So I want the form to look like this https://givewp.com/demo/#forms-multi.

    Does that help?

    Cheers again,

    Luke

    We custom styled those to illustrate what can be done with basic CSS. But we’ve had several requests for emulating the styles in our demo.

    I’m going to work on a detailed tutorial on customizing Give forms and I’ll update this ticket when it’s done. Thanks!

    Ok cool, thanks. I appreciate it.

    Gonna follow this. Having the same issue with inheriting styling from my theme.

    Should I reach out to my theme developer? I know very little about CSS.

    Hey Alex – sorry I just saw your comment. Looking at your theme I’d suggest adding:

    [id*=give-form] fieldset {
    padding:0;
    }

    That will tighten it up a bit. Also, are you going to use the left featured image and sidebar? That’s what pushing it over to the right.

    Hey Alex, I see you have another thread open here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/inheriting-styles-from-theme

    Let’s work from that one. I’m going to mark this one as resolved.
