Yesterday morning I was trying to update my header (through my custom theme editor) and wasn’t able to. The page just attempted to load and load but never did. I waited up to 15 minutes at a time. This is still happening.

This morning I decided to try the plain ol’ CSS editor option and just add in the specific header code with the new url. That actually loaded, but there was no change.

I’m using a Genesis theme, which I know you don’t support – I contacted them and they’ve said it’s nothing their theme would have an issue with. I’ve also contacted my host, EsoSoft and at least as of midnight, they’re trying to see if they can change things for me on their end but haven’t yet for one reason or another.

My custom upgrade has been paid up, I’ve deactivated all of the plugins that have upgraded recently, I’m not in any WordPress beta version. I’m using Windows 7, using Chrome but have tried Firefox and IE9 as well.

Thank you so much for any advice!

Okay, I just resolved it using the !important tag in the CSS editor. Still can’t use my theme editor, but this works at least temporarily.

Sorry for jumping the gun and not trying that before posting – still don’t know why my theme editor isn’t working though.
