 * Any opinions on a good CSS editor? I use Dreamweaver right now, but using it
for just CSS is kind of a pain. What does everyone else use?

 * notepad++ is excellent, but [http://www.nvu.com/](http://www.nvu.com/) is meant
   to be cool too.

 * Same, I’m on Dreamweaver too. Works but it’s bit of a hassle. Would be very handy
with a tool that manages the actual file better somehow – so you don’t have to
scroll miles up and down to find a particular style.
 * Anyone know of any good tool for mac?

 * Couldn’t get Nvu going.. think I might have some Java problems or something.
   Tried CSSEdit ([http://www.macrabbit.com/cssedit/](http://www.macrabbit.com/cssedit/))–
seems pretty decent. But it doesn’t REALLY do anything different than Dreamweaver.

 * Suppose I’m looking for something that doesn’t yet exist 🙂 Kinda like some clever
WYSIWYG for CSS2 where you can draw out your id tags and resize and position
text like in Illustrator. Well, I just keep on dreaming..

 * I use DW, and don’t mind it, since I edit css in straight code and have been
using DW since almost its (and my web) beginning, but folks at CSS-Discuss have
been talking StyleMaster up, and seem to think it’s pretty decent. It’s for both
Mac and Win, reasonably priced and has a 30 day trial. You might wanna give it
a spin, then post back and tell us what you think.

 * TopStyle Pro. Perfect for both html and css, and with a bit of tweaking I’ve
got it to allow edits to php and js too. It’s pricey if what you want is a free
one, but otherwise not bad at around $80 US (bradsoft also has FeedDemon – don’t
know whether it’s any good or not though since I have zero use for RSS feeds).

 * I use firefox and installed the editcss plugin. You just hold your mouse down
and select editcss. The css appears as a panel on the left and you can make changes
there. You see the changes live to whatever page you are on. Then when I get
the css I want I just copy and paste it.

 * [@fredrik](https://wordpress.org/support/users/fredrik/), and others. I use CSSEdit
for the Mac and I really like it.
