Support » Plugin: Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields » CSS conflict between Pods.io and Simple CSS plugins

After I installed Pods the code editor in Simple CSS stopped working properly. Both Pods and Simple CSS use CodeMirror and the Pods CSS overwrites the Simple CSS styles.

It looks like pods.css overrides styles.css (from Simple CSS) for CodeMirror class.

The Simple CSS code editor is now only 300px tall and the cursor is not visible (plus probably more).

    Thanks,
    -Rauno.

@rauno Thanks for making us aware of this. Our preferred method for dealing with bugs is by making an actual bug report at our GitHub Repository:

    https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/issues/new

This allows us to bring the other plugin into the issue so we can work out a resolution together. It often works much better than opening two support tickets like you’ve done here on the WordPress.org Repo.

@rauno Just checked with our developers, we’ve just released a patch into our development to namespace all the CSS from CodeMirror and a few other plugins into specific CSS for just our plugin so we can kill these kinds of conflicts (everyone uses the CodeMirror!). I just tested this against pods.io/latest/ (which isn’t in production yet) and it fixes the conflict with Simple.CSS.

We’re planning to push out Pods 2.7.2 this week, early next week at the latest. I’ll also cross post this over to your other forum post. This should fix your issue.

I’m closing this as it’s being addressed in the next patch and we have the bug report above for tracking purposes.

Confirmed to be working fine in the current version of Pods. Thanks!
