css code change color for headings doesn't work

  • I want to change the color of my H1 headings in my blogs.
    I added this to the CSS Stylesheet Editor:

    h1 {
    	font-size:130%;
    	color:red;
    }

    The font size changes all right, the color doesn’t. I also tried by using a hex code. Doesn’t work either.

    What am I doing wrong?

    @anevins

    Make sure you’re using sufficient specificity of CSS selectors.

    Thank you Andrew,

    So, I can bypass my “problem” by using a H4 heading, and it works, but I would really like to use the H1 heading class [or do you say style?]

    How can I specify the H1 in the paragraphs and exclude the <h1 id=”site-title”>?
