  • When I make changes to css, they are not showing in live site. I found that my stylesheet is being called on from a different theme then I am working in. I tried to enter the url path for the stylesheet directly in header.php, but still am seeing stylesheet from other theme. Where can I change this?

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I am using a custom theme that was built by a previous designer. I duplicated the theme on the server in order to modify it without altering the live site. Both the live site, and the duplicated version, are calling on the stylesheet from a theme called foundation. I copied that css file into the new “duplicate” version of the site and then tried to call on it directly in order to modify it. It still however calls on the style from within the foundation theme. I cannot alter it there as it will affect the live site.

    Is this a child theme?

The stylesheet uses the input functionality to load other stylesheets. I am new to wordpress and don’t know other ways to tell if it is a child theme. I tried deleting the input style reference from the style.css, but it is still calling on it from the other theme. Is there a place that I can locate where this file path is designated and alter it to focus on the theme I am working in?

I’m sorry but since this is a custom theme, we have no way of determining the theme’s architecture. I can only suggest that you contact its developer about the problem.

yes, it is a child of the theme Foundation
