    Hello,

The CSS settings in this calendar appear to be overridden by settings in the style.css file from the WordPress theme that I am using.

Is there any way to fix this without modifying the theme itself? I am wondering if there is a problem with the assets being loaded.

For reference, here is a screenshot of what I’m talking about: http://i.imgur.com/boi6rny.jpg

The hovering also doesn’t seem to work.

  • Do you have the styles disabled in Calendars > Settings > Advanced?

    Hi –
I am having the same issue as described above. I toggled the Calendars>Setting> advanced and the page css works well only when launching the page from the calendars area view, but it does not work when it is inserted into a regular page using [calendar id=”xxxxx”]. Any ideas?

Changing the “Disable Styles” setting does not make any difference for me. Thanks for the suggestion!=

Oh… however, it looks like checking the box, saving the settings, then unchecking the box and saving the settings again made the calendar work. I’m not quite sure what to make of this yet.

I’m experiencing the same issue, also using the shortcode.

It was by design to try and let the theme handle certain aspects of the styles, but judging by the screenshot we may need to adjust this. I will discuss with the team. Thanks for all the info.

@nickyoung One piece of additional information (may or may not be helpful) – this happens more frequently when the calendar is placed in a page using the Divi Page Builder by Elegant Themes (here). Thanks for your hard work!

    Good to know. Thank you!

It would be really nice to have the option to show 0 events so the user has to hover over the date to get the info, like it was in the old version

Is there a specific reason you would rather the users have to hover? Just curious the reasoning and gathering feedback so don’t feel pressured to answer 🙂

    Thanks!

I definitely like what you’ve done with it and will likely use it on other projects, but for my use case, I wanted the simplicity and uncluttered look of it.

My client needs to show a calendar of what’s going on for scheduling purposes. Those looking at the calendar don’t really need to know the details, just to know which dates have more openings. They’ll never have more than 3 events in one day so I’ve colored them so they can see at a glance if a day has one, two, or three events (thanks for adding those classes!). Hovering to see what the events are is a bonus, but not even necessary in this case.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I chose this plug in because of the simple design because it goes really well with the design of my site. I have lots of small events every day and now the calendar looks really cluttered whereas it used to look clean.

I would really like to see an option to display the grid view with just dates and events only visible on hover. Further I would really like to have the list view without the date and colored border at the top. I use the list to just gather the event title, start time and end time. The date and border does not really fit with my design.

But otherwise I really like the new back end!

Thank you guys for the feedback, it is very valuable to us and greatly appreciated!
