CSS and Header Size Trouble

    I have PixelHunter theme and latest wordpress install with everything updated at http://psav.eventege.com/

    Two fold problem;
    Where the heck can adjust the color of backgrounds? specifically I need the background for the footer, and the left and right flyout menu’s to be #DBDBDB so it matches better.
    I have looked everywhere in wp-content/themes/pixelhunter/sass/main.css but it seems no matter what I change there is no effect.

    Other big issue;
    Is the site not 100% responsive?
    I have trouble with how the site renders when zoomed in or out, or used on differing sized displays, my client see’s the header cut off while I do not. Looks great at 100% but if I zoom in or out, especially in chrome, the header gets cut off.
