 * I am using buddyverified on my site. The problem is that the position of the
   badge appears in different places depending on whether you are using a desktop
   or mobile. It also changes when you turn your mobile device to landscape format.
   The badge also does not adjust to the length of user’s usernames. Does anyone
   no a way to solve these problems. I tried the buddyverified forum but i got no
   reply, thanks.

 * Without a link to your current site, you most likely won’t receive any reply/
   help here either. It’s hard (if possible at all) to solve an issue without actually
   seeing it.

 * So you want to fix the out-of-place blue V badge of the big profile photo that’s
   appearing out-of-place ([screenshot](http://i.imgur.com/uRp1z53.png))? It’s the
   only obviously wrong thing that I see on that link.
 * In that case, this will fix it:
 *     ```
       #buddypress #item-header-cover-image #item-header-avatar a {
           display: inline-block;
           position: relative;
       }

       #buddypress span#bp-verified-header {
           width: 35px;
           height: 35px;
           top: auto;
           right: 15px;
           bottom: 15px;
           left: auto;
       }

       #buddypress span#bp-verified-header img {
           width: 100%;
       }

       @media screen and (max-width: 782px) {
           #buddypress span#bp-verified-header {
               right: 0;
               bottom: 0;
           }
       }
       ```
 * at least is there manual integration? i guess it needs manual integration since
   everybody uses different themes and it messes up things, not the plugin creator
   fault but still
 * doubt it i will use it though
 * The code provided above works just as i want it to, its just in the wrong spot.
   I would like it next to the username and should adjust to the length of each
   user’s username.
 * Yes, I know how to do it. But WordPress doesn’t have an easy way to edit a plugin’s
   files. So it’s rather complex.
 * Let me give you an example.
 * .
 * Let’s move the verified badge on the big avatar photo to next to the big username:
    - First, we need FTP access to the site’s files.
    - Then we need to go to wp-content > plugins > buddypress-verified folder.
    - Grab buddypress-verified’s functions.php file (the plugin’s functions.php,**
      not** the theme’s).
    - Find the line that say
    -     ```
          add_filter( 'bp_get_displayed_user_avatar', 'bp_show_verified_badge' );
          ```

    - Change bp_get_displayed_user_avatar to bp_get_displayed_user_mentionname
    -     ```
          add_filter( 'bp_get_displayed_user_mentionname', 'bp_show_verified_badge' );
          ```
    - Save it.
 * Now the badge will be in the user_mentionname area, but it’s position nicely.
   So some custom CSS is needed:
 *     ```
       #item-header-content {
           position: relative;
       }
       #buddypress span#bp-verified-header {
           top: 0;
           right: 0;
           left: auto;
       }
       #buddypress div#item-header-cover-image h2 a, #buddypress div#item-header-cover-image h2 {
           padding-right: 30px;
       }
       ```

 * And here’s the result: [screenshot of result](http://i.imgur.com/B29yK3v.png)
 * That works on any name length.
 * .
 * That’s just a part of the complete code though. Because the badge appears on
   multiple instances (activity feed, comments, etc.), we’ll need to go through
   and change for each of them.
 * If you’re okay with editing the plugin’s source files, then let us know. We can
   give you the full code to copy-paste. But keep in mind: you do need FTP access
   to your site and the correct functions.php file, plus a backup version of it.
   Editing PHP file might lock you out of the admin panel of the site.
 * .
 * **[@andrew](https://wordpress.org/support/users/andrew/)** or any forum mod
   that’s reading this, could you please let me know whether I’m allowed to take
   the plugin, edit it, then zip it, and post a download link for another user?
