CRP shows up in posts but not on Categories & Tags

    Hello!

    I can easily get CRP to show up on Posts by selecting “Posts” under “Automatically add related posts to” but I am unable to get CRP to show up for categories or tags, even when selecting “Category archives”, Tag archives”, and even “Other archives”.

    Is there a common “gotcha” that may be causing CRP to not show up for categories and tag pages? Thanks!

    Update:

    I also installed “Archive Control Settings” plugin, which allows extra text and metadata to be added to Archive (Categories and Tags) pages. Once I did this, CRP started inserting links as they would do in a normal post…no shortcode needed. Just add ANY text into the “After Archive List” text field.

    Were you able to get this resolved?

    CRP will only show it for posts/post types even in an Archive but not find a related archive, if that helps.

    Yes, it’s working now. I presume for archives (category) there wasn’t a field to insert the “related posts”, which is why it wasn’t displaying. Once I installed the “Archive Control Settings” plugin, this gave a field where the CRP could be displayed.

    Side note:

    Is there a way to have the title and/or excerpt displayed BELOW the thumbnail (or, the title AND excerpt displayed next to the thumbnail?) It appears I only get one line of text before the rest of the text appears below the thumbnail (when using Display thumbnails inline with posts, before title, not rounded thumbnails. Thanks!

    Where are you displaying this? Page URL?

    You can do what you want with CSS, but must confess am not specialised in that
