• Heya,

I’m looking for a plugin that operates just like the LiveJournal and Xanga Crossposter plugins, only it would be for my two WordPress blogs, to where certain categories would crosspost to other blogs, but not so for other categories.

    Thanks!

  • Pull an RSS feed from one to the other?

To elaborate a bit: You can do category-based feeds from your WP blog.

And there’s a pile of Syndication plugins that could help you get a feed from one blog to another: http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Syndication

Okay, I’ve got the Syndication pretty much down, though I still need to set up the RSS feeds for the categories I wish to syndicate.

Which, if reading all the RSS+Category posts is any indication, this is going to be a bitch. Leaving for vacation, so when I get back I’ll try it and see if I can’t post here how I did it for newer people.

How did this work out ?

an Actual cross posting plugin per post would be cooler .. i.e. register other blogs wordpress or not .. with login info .. and then in the side bar of the write a new post page you have a section to choose to cross post.

    That would be cool.

I most heartily agree. I maintain a specific category of content for a specific subset of readers, and using the feed aggregation route to post this content to the content-specific blog seems like taking the backdoor and the long way around to do this. I would much prefer having the ability to simply crosspost the content without the hassle of aggregating it.
