 * Would it be possible tie implement a following transition to the plugin:

 * If not could someone help me to incorporate a cross fade transition to 1.4 version
   as in ax ample above?

    if that ever gets integrated to Colorbox, it will be available later with
   this plugin. Otherwise, you could merge the code yourself and replace the Colorbox
   library provided by this plugin. Cheers, Arne
