hello there, in the regular wordpress gallery I am able to crop thumbnails. Since it doesn’t seem like this can be done in foo gallery, I found you can still use the same thumbnail of wordpress as long as the thumbnail size match perfectly. Even after the thumbnail size of wordpress and the one in my settings of foo gallery are exactly the same, the thumbnail are still not cropped. They did show up cropped when I changed the setting to use the same thumbnail as wordpress but then after I refreshed they never showed up cropped again 🙁 so it did work but for a moment. Is there a way to crop the thumbnails or to use the same thumbnail of the image in wordpress? thank you!

    Hi @antonio26900,

Are you able to tell me which FooGallery template you are using and provide a link to your gallery page so that I can take a look for you?

thank you! right now I am using the justified gallery but I have tried every other one and it doesn’t work for me (it doesn’t take the cropped thumbnail from the wordpress image), if in wordpress I go under “settings” -> “media” I set the thumbnail as 200px (both height and width) and then in the Foo Gallery settings I set 200px as well as thumbnail height so that they match, but the thumbnail is still not cropped. Thank you!!

    Hi @antonio26900,

The justified gallery may not be the best choice because it automatically scales and crops thumbnails to ensure they fit in the gallery even when images are different dimensions.

Are you able to put up an example “Responsive Image” gallery for us to look at with thumbnails set to 200×200? Please make sure to hit the “clear thumbnail cache” in the right hand sidebar after saving the thumbnail size settings.

Let me know how you get on.
