I like how you’ve used the three column layout here. It’s very simple and streamlined which is also good. My only critique is the background It’s white. It’s a common mistake but white backgrounds are bad in my opinion. Here’s why: it’s like staring at a lightbulb. Don’t believe me? Go stare at a lightbulb for a bit and then a white background for a webpage.
I’d say make the background a semi-dark gray and the columns a lighter tone of gray. Or whatever colors you’d like. Anything but stark white. Cool theme though.
In Scotland it’s Flake n Chups. Nice site. Disagree about the white (except with a hangover obviously) and love that taut opening screen with the orange n pic. The however is that on a Mac with firefox your sidebar does look a little cramped – up the font size and line spacing?
what subscribe plugin are you using?
I think there is one that lets people choose what categories they want to subscribe to.
That’s odd about the white – people say the same thing about black.
I love the white background – on just about every site possible, if I had it my way. 😉 Black on the other hand kills my eyes, because anything against it is either too bright or too dark to read. But you never find someone using yellow text on white… unless they’re doing it on purpose, anyway…
Don’t like black myself, but don’t like white either. Nice pales….

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. I think that’s a good point about the sidebar.
I’m using subscribe2 for the subscriptions. It’s pretty cool — it does allow people to choose categories that they’re interested in, but only if they also register on the site.
