I’ve just updated my clients site to PHP 7.4, as well as the latest version of the Download Monitor plugin, and latest version of WordPress. It’s using the Enfold theme (from themeforest), but every time we try to edit a page and Download Monitor is activated, we get a critical error.

I’ve tried enabling debug mode but nothing comes up, and I’ve also checked the error log but nothing there either.

Anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions? There’s a lot of content in the Download Monitor plugin.

Hey Razvan, thanks for the quick reply!

    WP 6.1.1

    Plugins:

    Contact form 7 – 5.6.4
    Contact Form DB – 2.8.32
    Download Monitor – 4.7.3
    Easy Modal – 2.1.0
    Feed them Social – 3.0.2
    Fonts plugin – 3.2.1
    Mailpoet – 4.0.0
    Relevanssi – 4.18.0
    Ubermenu 3 – 3.3
    Ultimate FAQ – 2.1.18
    UpdraftPlus – 1.22.23
    Yoast SEO – 19.10

    Enfold theme – 5.2.1

I activated a different theme the error went away, so it seems Download Monitor isn’t compatible with Enfold, or visa versa?

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately Enfold is a premium theme and we don’t have access to it. If it is possible, you can send us a .zip file here so we can test the incompatibility. Please specify the URL of this ticket in the message so we know the situation.

    Warmly,
    Razvan

After a little more investigation, it seems the combination of Download Monitor, Enfold theme, and Gutenberg editor is causing the critical error. We had to install Classic Editor to get it to work.

Will upload the theme to your link so you can test your end

    Thank you!
We noticed that yesterday you also sent an email with the same issue through our official support email and we will continue the discussion there to avoid duplicate tickets.

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
