• HI,

Yesterday the site was working fine when I finished.
This morning this message was on screen when I tried to log in as admin:

“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    No email received from wordpress.org.

    Please advice.

Errors like this are logged. Check the error log on your server. If you can’t find the log, please contact your host.

Meantime, enable wp_debug and wp_debug_log and after an error, look at wp-content/debug.log to see if anything gets logged there. https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

You can also try this: Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you cannot access wp-admin, there are other ways to deactivate plugins.

Thank you so much for the instructions.

I asked my host for instructions how to enter the wp-content in DirectAdmin via File manager-domains-public html-wp-content and I was able to rename the plugin file into plugin.hold and accessed the website via wp-admin/plugins.php.
I deleted one plugin in wordpress that was causing the issue, renamed the plugin file in DirectAdmin (host) to the original file: plugins.

Now everything is up and running:)

    Thanks again!
