Support » Plugin: Podcast Importer SecondLine » “critical error” on import

    Hello,

I’m newly trying to configure your Bolden theme and import my podcasts, but when I try to import a podcast, I receive this error. “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

Nothing has been sent to the admin email account, nor can I find an error log in the wordpress folder, so I’m not quite sure what else to look at to troubleshoot.

I’m running PHP 7.3.4, and I have “allow_url_fopen = On” (I started reviewing the other posts here and saw something about that). My site health does warn me about “The required module, gd, is not installed, or has been disabled.” But from what I can tell that’s related to images or printing and shouldn’t affect this. I haven’t worked in WordPress in many years so I might be missing something obvious. Appreciate any assistance in getting this site up and running. Thanks.

    Hi @laderhold,

Thanks for using our products and for reaching out!

This sounds odd, the importer shouldn’t generate these kinds of errors.

I would love to look into that, but I may need to log in and test things out a bit more.

Could you please contact us via email so we can help further? ( https://secondlinethemes.com/contact )

Thanks for your response. Since posting this, I’ve realized that email was wonky on the server and I’ve managed to recover it so that I could receive the error email, it had this information. I’ll also send a note to the contact link in a bit in case that facilitates communication.

I think I’m resolving it by getting that module installed, still in progress

Yeah, please ensure the simpleXML module is installed.
I’ll make sure we make a few tests and handle the error properly either way.

This issue is resolved! If only I’d gotten that email to begin with, sorry for the bother!
