Support » Plugin: Mailchimp for WooCommerce » CRITICAL ERROR – DO NOT INSTALL

  • Direct from my email inbox:

“Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Mailchimp for WooCommerce.”

I removed this plugin, and my site restored! Voila! I am going with a different Mailchimp plugin.

@virgojoe thanks for the review, we take all feedback very seriously – and especially when things of this nature happen.

We’ve recently been informed that there are a couple plugins that are conflicting with one of the core features in the Action Scheduler library we’re including in our plugin. Do you by chance have the WooCommerce Follow Up Emails plugin? Or possibly the Ajax Search for Woo? These 2 plugins have a ( now known ) conflict with this library and they’re working on a solution already.

If you do have any one of these plugins, please try disabling them and see if the problem persists. We would be more than happy to help you get things set up if need be. Please reach out to us directly like this and we can help get this resolved.

@virgojoe just wanted to make another effort to see if we could help. Typically when things like this happen, there is a reason for it and it can be resolved with a little debuggery.

It would be great if you could show us your woo system report in order to help others in the future that might have run into this same issue.

We would just appreciate the opportunity to help get this resolved if at all possible.

Thanks for that. Please consider the matter closed, I am using SendGrid instead without any plugins. I could have used Chimpmail which is a fine product but we were able to resolve some email issues as well with SendGrid as a total solution.

@khungate There’s nothing here that needs a moderator’s attention of action. This is feedback and this review does not need reporting.
