Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway (Credit Card, AliPay, Apple Pay) » Credit card svg images not rendered in Safari

Hello, the plugin’s template on the checkout page uses the svg formats for the credit card images for Stripe payment.

Unfortunately these files does not render in the Safari browser. This is alienating people on the iOS and MacOS. Would you consider modifying it to render png files instead?

On second checking, these svg do not render in many slightly older browsers either

    Hi @bukers

We are re-using WooCommerce credit card images(available only in svg format) from WooCommerce assets. I have tested with different browsers in MacOS and it’s working fine. Please share your your website link, so I can have a look.

Thanks for the response. We have decided to hide the display of the icons before a solution is found. I am puzzled why it works for you but not for us. However, since the shop is just relaunched, we have a zillion things to attend to right now, will come back to this later.

    Thx

    Hi @bukers

As said, we have hidden the icons by doing a display none on them. If you still want to see the site without those icons, here is the link:

Place an item in the basket to check out, and you will see your plugin in action there, though the icons hidden

    Hi @bukers

Could you please check by adding these lines to the .htaccess file

    AddType image/svg+xml svg svgz
    AddEncoding gzip svgz

Let me know if that resolves your case.
