# Creating Static & Dynamic Pages

 * Dear WP experts,
    I am new to WP and am in the process of cutting up my traditional
   html static site into php’s for WP. So far so good, but I have hit a wall. I 
   would like my landing page to be a traditional home page that is static. I would
   like to only have my blog on the blog page within my site. My url is [http://www.scottsword.com](http://www.scottsword.com)
   I have set up a basic sprite nav menu and as of right now I want a separate blog.
   php to embedded my loop.
 * Problem:
    I don’t know how to link the <link href=””> in my sprite ul to the 
   blog.php I have uploaded. I have tried hardcoding the url (which hasn’t been 
   working either), but I need to know how to set up my sprite to not only take 
   me from the main page to other static pages (about me, resume, etc.), but I need
   to know how to link to the blog portion of my website.
 * Any help/advice would be awesome!!!!
