You can normally find the feed for your own site at:

I have an unusual problem. My blog is at http://cecsearch.com/WordPress/index.php

Try to view the feed at http://cecsearch.com/WordPress/feed doesn't work and the feed links in my templates don't work either example( feed:<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?> )

There wasn't a feed directory created.

But when I use http://cecsearch.com/WordPress/wp-rss2.php I can see the feed fine.

My guess is that something is wrong wtih my install, but I can't for the life of me find the problem. I'm a very new user... so please be gentle.

BTW, I am using a modified form of Misty Look by Sandish, and I really think it looks great.

  4. That is really weird. Permalinks work, but not /feed/.

Just use the full URL instead I guess:

The funny thing is that that works and this does not:

Something is seriously weird with your server. You might wanna try updating to the latest version of WordPress BTW. ;)

  5. It looks like you actually created directories named "feed" and so forth on the server. If you do that, then you won't get the feed through those links because your .htaccess redirection will stop working.

Remove those directories. You don't need 'em. They are not "real" directories that need to be there.

I have this same problem, my blog site is http://www.NerdwithSwag.com and my feed is coming through http://www.NerdwithSwag.com/?feed=rss2, is there anyway to fix this? or create a feed directory so they come in at http://www.NerdwithSwag.com/feed?

One thing I noticed is both users here who mention they can't get the feed are not putting a trailing / in the URL. Try http://www.example.com/feed/

That made all the difference for me. :)

My feeds only work as http://www.creativefellowship.org/wp-atom.php or http://www.creativefellowship.org/wp-rss2.php. When using any of the other URLs (e.g. http://www.creativefellowship.org/feed/) I get an error and noticed that my feed is not valid due to an empty first line.

Following the advice on http://www.wynia.org/wordpress/2006/01/19/rss-feeds-broken-wordpress-plugins-and-duct-tape-solutions/ doesnt seem to do the trick for me (unless I misinterpret the instructions?).

By de-activating “Custom Pages Widget” (1.1 by Erwin Harte) I got my problem fixed! So I guess my problem was with the widget. The other article suggested “Role Manager” as a cause for problem, so I started to check all my widgets.

Since I had to cut and past the code from Erwin's site, I had made the mistake by having an additional <enter> at the bottom of the php file. So make sure that all your plugin files end with: ?> (no space or anything after it...)

I hope this is of any help to other people sweating over this feed validation problem.
