Hi there, In my business I have clients that order various things from my in person store, is there a plugin that any of you know of that will be able to create simple products while I am editing an order manually?

Basically I want to be able to be on my tablet and when they say they want something I can add that in there order, take a photo and have it saved as a product later.

If not do any of you know a better way of doing something like that?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I am unaware of a plugin that allows a product to be created from an order. Ideally you would want to have your products already added in your online store, and then from there, you can go a head and create a manual order if a customer purchases something from your physical store.

I do understand that but my stores inventory is gigantic and I can’t get everything into the site right away. I was hoping that maybe there would be a way to do inventory input during the order process.

Do you know of a way to add a button that would add an overlay of the create product screen?

Sorry for double post, tried to edit but it didn’t work.

SO! I found a way of doing this (sort of), basically, to create a bunch of products called “generic item” (only accessible via search). And add them to the order. I know there are plugins that will allow you to edit product details in the order. Vanilla order maker even has basic features to edit products.

But whenever I search for any, it comes up with sorting things in order or editing product order (as in placement of products) (damn homonyms). Anyone know of any plugin that expands the edit products features?

If you just want to add a photo when someone orders then something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wc-fields-factory/ will let you add an Upload File button to a product page – won’t let you do it from Add Order in the admin though.

How about some sort of POS plugin (https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce-pos) to act as a frontend on your tablet? Would probably make adding orders manually a lot easier too!

@josephgreen – it would be best to just spend the time to import your products, this can be done via a CSV import.

As @seank123 suggested, since you seem to use an in-store purchase process, using a POS system might be a good idea. For instance, you could add products using the Square App and have them synced to your WooCommerce store.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
