# Creating new script with recent posts

 * Hi,
    I am trying to generate an image with my site’s recent posts in it, but 
   I’m not sure how. I don’t really want to use the RSS feeds as that would be effectively
   doing things twice.
 * How can I, in a completely new PHP page, get the 3-5 latest posts in a certain
   category from my WordPress blog?
 * Thanks
