# Creating new permalink structure

 * If I change my permalink structure. Will my hotlinked (old) URLs will work too?
   As if people have bookmarked and my links or submitted in different listings.
 * Like **myurl.com/2009/01/01/my-post** to **myurl.com/my-post**
 * Is there any mechanism which take care of it?
 * I want to change my permalink also want old ones working.
 * please help

 * Yes they will still work, but they will be 302 redirected. Its better to use 
   a plugin like this one to ensure that you get a 301 redirect. Search engines 
   like 301 not 302.
